Artling Pavilion

A pavilion that frames art and invites discovery

The pavilion is conceived as a quiet backdrop. Simple forms, a restrained palette and soft, even light keep the focus on the works on display, while a clear route through the space encourages visitors to slow down, look closely and discover each piece in turn.

Materials are chosen for their texture and honesty, and the structure is designed to be adaptable, so that the space can be reconfigured as collections change. The result is a place where art, design and visitors meet in an easy and welcoming way.

The Principle of Material Honesty at TA.LE

We let materials be what they are. Timber, stone, metal and fabric each have their own texture, weight and way of catching the light, and we design so that these qualities can be seen and felt, rather than hidden behind applied finishes.

At the Artling Pavilion, honest materials and simple details create a calm setting that lets the art take centre stage.

When materials are used truthfully, a space feels authentic and timeless.
