A new chapter for an established office tower
Rather than starting again, the project works with what is already there. Public areas are opened up and brought to life with light, natural materials and greenery, so that the arrival feels generous and the building speaks to the street once more.
Shared spaces are rethought for today’s ways of working, with places to meet, pause and recharge. The renewal improves comfort and efficiency while keeping the character that has made the building a familiar part of the skyline.
The Principle of Adaptive Reuse at TA.LE
The most sustainable building is often the one that already exists. Renewing an existing structure keeps its embodied carbon in use and allows a building to keep serving its city, while new layers of design make it fit for the way people live and work today.
At the Hong Leong Building, careful interventions in the lobby and shared spaces give the tower a new energy without losing its identity.
Adaptive reuse lets us respect the past and plan for the future in the same gesture.
